Instant Queue Reinsert: Flawless Patient Recovery and Fluid Token Management in Medizys Live OPD
In fast-paced outpatient departments (OPD) and medical clinics, patient flow is rarely strictly linear. Patients may step out briefly for diagnostic tests, vitals triage, or phone calls, leading to lapsed or skipped tokens.
Previously, recovering a missed patient or re-routing someone back from a lab workup required manual desk intervention or complicated reassignment.
With our latest update to Medizys Live Queue, doctors and clinical staff now have one-click Reinsert capability directly on queue cards and inside the active consultation stage.

Key Clinical & Operational Enhancements
1. Dedicated Reinsert Action on Queue Cards
When viewing lapsed consultations in the Missed tab or inspecting patients returning from diagnostic labs or triage stations, each card now displays a high-contrast, tactile Reinsert action. With a single tap, the patient's token is immediately restored to the active waiting queue, preserving their UHID, tags, and clinical notes.2. Streamlined Active Consultation Return
If a patient is called into the consultation room but requires a moment before stepping in, physicians can click Reinsert directly from the hero stage bar. This safely returns the patient to the live waiting room and frees the examination cockpit for the next awaiting patient.3. Smart Contextual Controls
The interface intelligently hides redundant actions (such as marking an already-missed patient as missed) and surfaces instant reinsert and token call options, dramatically reducing cognitive fatigue during high-volume OPD hours.4. Zero Latency Real-Time Sync
Every reinsert event is broadcast immediately across all facility dashboards, mobile apps, and waiting room display screens using our edge-distributed realtime architecture.---
